An Artists Retreat

Brief: Create a living and workplace environment for yourclient using Le Corbusier's DOM – INO house framework.


Client: Doris Salcedo – Sculptural and installation artist.


Site: Goats Gully, Bristol, UK


Concept: Controlling Doris Salcedo's emotions by creating a

space that keeps her living area and workplace completely separate allowing her two switch between two worlds.

P A V I L I O N

A Summer Bar

Brief: Design a Pavilion space including either a café or

bar to be used either throughout the years or only during certain months.


Site: Temple Church, Bristol, UK


Concept: Exploring geometric shapes and patterns found

inside the church. Develop a pattern unique to the space. Focusing on how a

simple right-angled triangle can be manipulated and duplicated to create a

fragile canopy structure. Incorporating a bar of the similar design to be used

throughout the summer.

Educational Gallery & Craft Centre

Brief: RSA Competition, A NEW LEAF, how might we utilise

local woodland resources to stimulate inclusive and sustainable economic

activity?

Concept: To utilise the annual forest thinning's (small

diameter logs) and use them in an Education, Gallery and Workshop centre to creating recycled materials and sculptural pieces of art

of an Interior space. Exploring themes around identity and value.

Site: Millennium Promenade, Bristol, UK


Concept: Exploring MABBOO’s direct relations to Asian materials and natural forms while also trying to bring more customers into the shop
